In this movie-crazed world, people love to turn to their favorite celebrities to model their fashion style after. Accessories like a pair of sunglasses from their favorite stars are no exception to this. From the Blues Brothers to the Matrix trilogy, sunglasses have made a strong fashion statement that never fails to capture the attention and interest of fans and fashion buffs. And of course, who can forget Tom Cruise’s Rayban Aviators from the movie Top Gun? Soon after this blockbuster movie hit the cinemas way back in 1986, almost every wholesale sunglasses store in the country began offering a pair. Aside from the cinema blockbusters, there are also TV shows that popularized characters with trademark sunglasses, and perhaps the most famous of them is CSI Miami’s Horatio Caine.
Horatio Caine (played by David Caruso) is lead investigator in CSI Miami. A man of few words, he is surrounded by an air of calm and mystery yet stands out like a sore thumb in a place filled with blondes and tans because of his red hair. He is often seen wearing smart business casual ensemble without a tie, with his trademark sunglasses as the only noticeable accessory. Compared to the other leads of CSI and CSI New York, he is not as scientifically brilliant as Grissom or as gritty as Mac Taylor, but is extremely protective of his team, and goes out of his way to take care of crime victims, even giving away his phone number in case they’ll be needing his help. But aside from these traits, the most talked-about aspect of his character is his signature move of unloading pithy one-liners before slowly and deliberately slipping his sunglasses on. It adds that dramatic feel to a scene yet has that dry humor to it. This gesture became so famous that it resulted in parodies by funnyman Jim Carrey and tons of internet personalities.
The people behind CSI Miami even paid homage to Horatio’s trademark sunglasses by revealing how he got it in the show’s season 8 premiere. Fans will surely be thrilled to know how he got those shades of his that helped him look so cool in a place that’s so hot.
FYI: The pair is a Silhouette Titanium Model 8568 sunglasses, and you can get yours at wholesale sunglasses online
